2009 Committee Descriptions
Committee Chairs
APAL Committee
The purpose of this committee is to work with staff to develop ways to promote and assist in promoting the Associate Professional Association Leadership (APAL) Program to TSAE’s associate/supplier members.
Awards Committee
The purpose of this committee is to review the TSAE Awards and Scholarship process including categories, notification, application/nomination forms, criteria, judging. And to provide recommendations for updating and enhancing the Awards and Scholarship programs. Judges may not be up for an award or scholarship and cannot work with or for anyone/organization up for an award or scholarship.
CMP Study Group Committee
The purpose of this committee is to review Certified Meeting Professional Exam materials provided by the Convention and Industry Council and create Study Guides and Materials for use by TSAE/FSAE CMP Study Group attendees. Additionally, this committee works in tandem with TSAE to continually improve the CMP Study Group experience for attendees.
Community Involvement Committee
This committee works with various community charity and non-profit organizations to determine their needs and to assess how TSAE and its members could help address some if any of those needs. The committee holds donation drives corresponding with the TSAE Power Luncheons to efficiently collect materials and other donations for community organizations.
Education Day Committee
This committee is charged with planning TSAE’s annual Education Day and Trade Show. The committee works with staff on all aspects of the annual Education Day and Trade Show and committee members also volunteer for on-site assignments for the day of the event.
Leadership Committee
The purpose of this committee is to develop and support leadership programs and services for the TSAE membership. Additionally, this committee acts as the curriculum committee for the TSAE PAL and APAL programs.
Marketing Committee
This purpose of this visioning and planning committee is to develop membership recruitment and retention programs for TSAE and submit recommendations to TSAE Staff and the Board for consideration. Additionally this committee is charged with developing sponsorship and advertising opportunities for discussion and consideration by the TSAE Staff and the Board. As this committee develops long-term projects, the committee can undertake carrying out these projects, or the projects can be assigned to another committee or task force as deemed appropriate.
Nominations Committee
The purpose of this committee is review the TSAE Nominations process including notification, nomination forms, candidate information forms, and ballots. The committee is also charged with counting the ballots. Committee members counting the ballots may not be running for an office or work for or with someone running for an office.
Publications & PR Committee
The purpose of this committee is to promote TSAE members and TSAE to the membership and the public using a variety of venues including, but not limited to, the Capital Executive, the e-zine, the TSAE website and local print and broadcast media.
Social Networking Committee The purpose of this committee is to research and develop ideas for social networking opportunities for TSAE and its members. This committee will make recommendations to TSAE Board and staff and work with staff to implement approved recommendations.
Strategic Development CommitteeThe purpose of this committee is to carry out the tenets of the TSAE Strategic Plan as developed and adopted by the Board. The committee can create short-term project subcommittees as needed to work on specific projects within the Strategic Plan. The activity of this committee is tied to the Strategic Plan and is re-evaluated as the Strategic Plan is revised.

TSAE Roundtable Mission The Mission of the TSAE Roundtables is to assist TSAE Members advance in their professions by offering education, information, networking and fellowship in a collaborative environment.

The Mission of the TSAE Technology Roundtable is to provide education and information regarding technology and technology issues relevant to any TSAE member and their profession who is interested in Technology.

The Mission of the TSAE Finance and Administration Roundtable is to provide education and information regarding financial, operational and human resource issues relevant to any TSAE member and their profession who is interested in Finance and/or Administration.

The Mission of the TSAE Membership and Communications Roundtable is to provide any TSAE member education and information on issues related to association membership, marketing and communications.
The Mission of the TSAE CEO Roundtable is to provide any TSAE member who is an association CEO education and information regarding issues relevant to association management and the office of chief executive.
The Mission of the TSAE Fundraiser Roundtable is to provide education and information regarding fundraising issues relevant to any TSAE member and their profession who is interested in Fundraising.
The Mission of the TSAE Meeting Planners Roundtable is to provide education and information to any TSAE member regarding issues related to the meetings profession.
The Mission of the TSAE PAL II Roundtable is to provide education and information on all aspects of association leadership, and personal and professional development to any TSAE member who is a PAL or APAL Program Graduates.
The Mission of the TSAE Governmental Affairs Roundtable is to provide any TSAE member education and information on issues related to associations and their legislative/governmental efforts.
