The Tallahasee Society of Association Executives provides its more than 800 association and vendor members information, resources, educational opportunities, and networking opportunities. Headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida TSAE's membership includes individuals who manage and work for trade and professional associations and charitable organizations; and companies, bussiness and indivudials that provide products and services to associaitons.
Membership Categories
Regular Membership for an individual who is primarily employed as a managing executive or a staff member of a local, regional, national or international professional, technical, philanthropic, or trade association.
Associate Membership for any indivudal representing a firm or corporation, educators, government officials, college students, or individuals who have a special interest in association management.
Student Membership for an individual who is a full-time student (as defined by the student’s educational institution) in an undergraduate or graduate program in any area of study. Student members shall have no voting authority and cannot hold elected office.
Educational Programs
Monthly Power Luncheons featuring a speaker addressing a topic of interest and importance to our membership. Attendance at these sponsored luncheons range from 120-220 people and provide plenty of opportunity to connect with members, meet new people and receive some training and information to assist you in your professional and/or personnal development.
Roundtable Disucssions which are small, informal discussions that are job/topic spefic. TSAE currently has seven roundtables and each roundtable meets approxiamely once a month during lunch for an hour to an hour and a half. Roundtables are open to all members and we encourage you to attend. Topic areas include:
CEO Issues Finance and Administration Fundraising Governmental Affairs Leadership Membership and Communications Meetings Technology
Education Day and Trade Show, a fulll day of educational programming with topics relevant to all our members. Regardless of how long you have been in (or working with) the association industry; your job title or responsibilites; and your career goals and aspirations, Education Day will have something for you. In addition to value-packed educational sessions, Education Day includes an awards luncheon, a silent auction, a cyber cafe and, of course, a fatastic, action-packed Trade Show with more than 100 vendors.
Study Groups for indivudals who are interested in or studying for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and/or the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exams. TSAE has partnered with the Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) to offer these Study Groups to assist anyone who is looking to obtain their CAE or CMP designation. The Study Groups are faciitated by members who have their CAE and CMP designations and include materials and other resources to assist in successfully passing these exams.
Leadership Programs
We offer leadership programs for both our regular members and our associate members. The Professional Association Leadership (PAL) Program is a six-month program designed to provide educational and networking opportunities to today’s association leaders as well as future leaders in the association industry. PAL focuses on professional and personal development and incorporates much of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) criteria into its monthly sessions.
TSAE offers a similar program for our associate members. The Associate Professional Association Leadership (APAL) Program meets quarerly for one year and is esigned to provide our associate members with a deeper understanding of associations and how they can better serve their association clients. It also provides a forum for TSAE Associate members to learn from one another and to meet with association executives in the course of the APAL program.

The Capital Executive, a quarterly magazine filled with information, industry news and articles of interest to our membership. The Capital Executive is distriubted to our more than 800 members each quarter.
The e-zine, our electronic newsletter that is distrubted monthly to all our members. The e-zine contains information on upcoming events, member news and community news of note.
Career Headquaters is our on-line job board that allows you to advertise vacation postions, look for job opportunties, and post and read resumes. Our Career Headquaters is the place to go if you want to fill or find a position.
A Lending Library with books, materials and other helpful resources--check it out!
